The Plant Stand is where we share a portion of what we grow with the wider community. Throughout the growing season, we offer a rotating selection of plants pulled directly from our nursery program, making high quality, Maine grown plants accessible to gardeners of all kinds.

Our offerings change frequently and reflect what’s thriving at the moment.

What The Plant Stand Is

The Plant Stand is a self serve, seasonal plant stand featuring plants grown by Solid Roots. Offerings may include annuals, perennials, herbs, vegetables, cut flowers, and specialty plants, depending on the time of year.

Plants available at the stand are grown with the same care and attention as those used in our landscape projects. Quantities are limited and availability changes as the season progresses.

When & How It Operates

The Plant Stand is open sun up to sun down, every day from May through September.

Purchases are made on the honor system. We offer an honesty box for cash or check, as well as a QR code for Square purchases for added convenience.

This simple setup allows visitors to stop by at their own pace and enjoy a relaxed, welcoming shopping experience.

Connection to Our Nursery

The Plant Stand is an extension of our nursery and custom growing program. Plants offered at the stand are grown locally in Maine and selected for performance, health, and suitability to our climate.

This allows gardeners to purchase plants with confidence, knowing they’ve been grown thoughtfully and with local conditions in mind.

Service Area

The Plant Stand is located in coastal Maine and open to the public during the growing season. No appointment is needed.
